The art of softie-making with children's drawings

How to order

Once a year, I open a wait list.  Due to the volume of mail I receive, I am unable to accept individual requests to be added to a wait list.

**On Saturday, June 28th,  a new wait list was opened and it is now closed. I will be working on these orders in the months to come.**

Your child’s unique softie is designed and handmade exclusively by Wendy Tsao, Child’s Own Studio. The art of softie-making inspired by a child’s drawing has been a full-time discipline to which I have dedicated thousands of hours over the last seven years. A Child’s Own softie based on your child’s drawing will be designed with my distinctive and artful approach, attention to detail, and will take shape under my experienced hands.

Alternatively, there is the Softiemaker Showcase. The Showcase is a directory of talented, independent softie makers around the world who all specialize in custom making softies from your child’s (or adult’s) drawings. They have their individual pricing, submission guidelines, and turnaround.

I found out about your studio while I was doing my research on toy companies in South Korea! Do you know that you are all over the internet over there? I found great number of blog sites praising your studio. It is the brightest toy idea I have head of so far. I cannot wait to pick out the drawing for my very creative 6-yr-old son. Looking forward to working with you. All the best.

    Hi!
I found your website off of pinterest and have fallen in love with it. Your work is awesome! I have two younger nephews that I am interested in having one of their drawings ‘brought to life’ so to speak, and I was wondering if there is any way that you could give me a price range on a toy. I’m not looking for an exact estimate, just round about if that is possible.
Thank you so much! It’s very much apreciated!

Prayers and thoughts with you that you are able to step back and breath, to not be so overwhelmed and to know you are blessed and appreciated. :) I was so excited to find this site via Pinterest and know that this will be one the most amazing gifts we could ever get for our children, something imagined and invented by them come to life from your hands. I am going to be working with them on drawings and then pick which one they would like to see magically come to life. Their birthdays aren’t for a month-2 months so we will appreciate it more after the wait. Thanks for all that you do…who knows, maybe you can find other humans (not robots) to do what you do and you can delegate and inspect and put your stamp of approval on the beautiful creations…ever so often picking through and finding “Special” ones that you will make yourself. :) Stick with it, I have faith in you and your amazing ability. Thanks for the inspiration and amazing opportunity to put a great twinkle in my babies eyes. :) Be Bless Always, from my family to yours.
